The Age of Sail
The history of the Age of Sail is a long, complicated story of aggressive expansion, but also of degradation and brutality. This time period lasted from 1561-1872. While Europeans spread their empires from continent to continent, they stripped people from Africa, South Asia, and the Far East of freedom, enslaving them to build their empires.
It is important that we learn from our world history instead of glossing over it.
